GO DAAN, Donate a Cow
We are collecting donations for our Go Daan project, having two cows at HYA. Please support our fundraiser by donating and sharing our Go Fund me page so we can create a GoShala, a sacred space for raising Gir / Brahma cows. Why is a cow donated? The cow is a symbol of life; it is an object of spiritual reverence, adoration and source of ecological sustenance; it is one of the five motherly references accorded reverential position as a surrogate mother to those who tend her. Being in the presence of a Brahma Cow changes our vibrations to one that induces healing and calming. Besides this, there are many healing practices involving the cow.
The act of performing 'Go-Daan' is one of the greatest sacrificial acts that can be performed in Vedic Culture. It is expected that after completing such an action, one will be conscious of detachment and make a concerted effort to maintain victory of the senses.
